AWC Kids Kayak Clinic - August 19, 2023, Saturday morning

The AWC kid’s clinic is a fun oriented class to expose kids to the joy of kayaking. The goal of this clinic will be to learn the basics of safely entering and exiting kayaks and basic paddle strokes. We will work with the kids to ferry across the river and make eddy turns. We will also practice river swimming and rescue.

Kids will need their own equipment. At minimum they will need a kayak, paddle, properly fitting life jacket, helmet, and shoes to swim in. The kids need to be comfortable swimming in the river. The kids will need to dress appropriately to be wet the entirety of the clinic and should have water/snacks.

Minimum age is 8 years old unless the child has a dedicated, experienced parent present with them at all times during the clinic. Class size is limited to 8 students.
