A Letter to AWC Members Regarding Help with Stream Access

As many of you know, the Adobe Whitewater Club of New Mexico is currently involved in a petition to the Supreme Court of New Mexico to uphold the rights of the public to access the waters of New Mexico as laid out in the state constitution. Below is a letter to all AWC members written by members of the AWC’s Stream Access Coalition.

Additional details on the history of this issue are available here, as well as on the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers website (BHA, along with the New Mexico Wildlife Federation, are co-petitioners along with the AWC).

The greater paddling community has raised $1500.00 towards the project at this time. Donations can be sent to Steve Harris c/o Rio Grande Restoration a nonprofit that will be holding the funds until they are needed. More fundraising to come.
